The pair led their respective races from gun to tape and were comfortable winners over the tough course around Tranwell Woods.
At the finish Swinburn was almost a minute and a half ahead of Floyd to take the North East title in 31.26. Floyd's time of 32.55 was 22 seconds ahead of Elswick Mark McLeod who went past Tate in the last 2 miles.
Another successful and well organised event by Morpeth Harriers. The race started bang on time, was well marshalled and as ever, the evergreen officials made sure that everything ran smoothly at the finish. The results were displayed very quickly and the presentation slick and efficient (would you expect anything else from Sergeant Bateman??)
