Training is still happening, although I feel like the intensity has dropped a little and overall feeling very tired at the moment. As a result only trained 4 times last week compared to my usual 6 which included my two usual harrier sessions, a trip to body pump at the gym and my harrier club championship’s, which resulted in me not beating my handicap by I thought 1.21min, but it was actually an incredibly annoying 2 seconds, but on the plus side it was a PB for that course by about 41sec.
The week was also filled with many social events on my calendar and I have discovered trying to focus on training as well as fitting in being sociable is a tricky combination. I know I need to get more miles in and that is my main focus now, however I am going away for a week. So I will pack my trainers and see what happens, as I am also hoping the break will give my training a boost when I return. Got my GNR number this week and I am in the middle (white Zone F) so an improvement on last year’s colour and hopefully I’ll see some of you there.
